I. INTRODUCTIONHuman resources today need to be given a skill to manage information correctly and clearly. Among others, the existence of library science which is currently very strategic in the process of nation building (Nation Building) mainly in the field of education as a step forward and educate the nation. The library is developed in an integrated manner that includes software, hardware, and brainware both contained in special libraries, college libraries, and public libraries. Therefore, science education libraries such as the Department of Library Science Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Wijaya Kusuma University is always responsive and adaptive to the progress of the era and its civilization and human demands.
To improve the quality of community service, increase insight, and create a sense of brotherhood, a sense of unity and unity among students of the Department of Library Science in particular, and between students with rural communities in general. We feel the need for a more concrete form of activity to show service to the community.
Form embodiment of Library Science intends to hold the activities of bibliography and workshop period 2013. This activity will be adjusted to the existing courses.
With the implementation of this activity, it is expected to create qualified human resources in developing knowledge and experience that has been obtained to be practiced to the community, able to prepare and able to think for the development and progress of library and librarian world in global era.
 
II. AIMLiteracy Literacy and Workshop (LPS) 2013 has several purposes, namely:
The implementation of Tri Dharma values ​​of higher education, ie education and teaching, research and development and community service by distributing information to rural communities.Distributing information to rural communities.Tie a relationship between students, lecturers, and alumni of the Department of Library Science. Thus fostering a strong sense of brotherhood, solidarity, unity and unity.Recruitment of students of the Department of Library Science of 2013 as the next generation of quality. 
III. BENEFITSThere are several benefits derived from Literasi Pustaka activities
and Sarasehan (LPS), namely:
Understanding of bibliography in Literasi Literasi and Sarasehan activities can be used as a reference in preparing itself to be an innovative and credible librarian.New students can be motivated in an effort to improve its quality as a candidate librarian with Literasi Pustaka and Sarasehan activities. Strengthening the relationship between students, lecturers, and alumni of the Department of Library Science.
